“All Together Now!” Storytellers Steve Daut, Jane Fink, and Genot Picor will be performing at the Dexter District Library as part of their Summer Reads program, telling stories about times when people all work together toward a common goal. Laugh and weep with us as these three tellers remind us of how much we can accomplish when we work together. Professional Storytellers Jane Fink, Steve Daut and Genot Picor will share stories about unique historical communities. Jane will tell of the overnight community that sprang up around Sutters Mill in California in1849 when gold was discovered and the great Gold Rush began. Jane’s great grandfather journeyed from Wales to California seeking his fortune during the gold rush. Steve will tell a “mash up” of his experiences with community clean ups after hurricane Camille (1969) and hurricane Maria (2017). Genot will share stories from the French communities that existed in Michigan in the 1710s to 1800.
